NounsDAO Approves Allocation to mETH in Strategic Treasury Move

NounsDAO has passed a proposal to allocate 1,000 stETH to mETH Protocol.

This marks a strategic coordination between two ecosystems with complementary priorities:

  • NounsDAO gains exposure to ETH-native staking through mETH
  • mETH Protocol benefits from the credibility and visibility that come with supporting one of the most established cultural DAOs on Ethereum

A shared belief in using capital deliberately to strengthen Ethereum’s core systems through credible, on-chain participation.

Rationale

With over $11M in self-funded capital and 1,500+ consecutive auctions, NounsDAO has demonstrated long-term resilience. Its treasury strategy is evolving to prioritize contributor alignment and on-chain diversification.

mETH Protocol is designed to deliver scalable ETH staking while maintaining full user custody and on-chain transparency. From the start, we’ve prioritized aligned distribution, ensuring that rewards flow directly from upstream integrations to users.

To date, mETH holders have received over 2.09M EIGEN and 450M COOK tokens through protocol-driven incentives supported by Mantle Treasury.

The protocol is integrated across more than 40 applications on Ethereum mainnet, Mantle Network, and HyperEVM, giving NounsDAO access to a growing surface area of participation across staking and DeFi ecosystems.

Value Alignment

For NounsDAO, this allocation represents a shift toward more active ETH participation, combining scalable yield with on-chain control. For mETH Protocol, it builds alignment with a governance-focused DAO known for credible experimentation and public goods funding.

It also deepens our integration with a high-trust community and contributes to ongoing exploration of DAO-level treasury design.

To further support this relationship, Mantle Treasury has delegated 5 million MNT to NounsDAO in recognition of its growing role in ecosystem coordination and governance participation.

This also opens the door to future collaboration as Mantle expands into adjacent areas like real-world finance infrastructure.

What Comes Next

With the proposal approved, execution will proceed soon. Alongside the treasury allocation, we look forward to sharing more on upcoming co-marketing opportunities and reinforcing visibility across both ecosystems.
